Are you wondering if you can make money by completing surveys online? How much can you earn? How much effort is required? Which survey sites are the good ones? As my first experiment on this blog I’m going to dig in deep and find the real answers to these questions.
What is an online survey?
An online survey is a questionnaire distributed on the internet to illicit responses from internet users.
Who creates these surveys and what are they used for?
Companies often conduct surveys to test out an idea for a new product or ad campaign. They will design the survey in such a way that a collection of responses will help them determine if there is a market for the product or if an ad campaign is likely to be effective.
What’s in it for me?
Well, the idea is that this information is valuable enough to companies that they are willing to pay to conduct a survey study. There are several organizations around that conduct these studies for the companies. They will help create the surveys, distribute them to people in the desired demographic, compile the data and provide a report or analysis to the company. In order for this to work, an organization needs to have access to a large, widely diversified group of people. This is where you and I come in. In order to attract people to complete the surveys, the offer to pay for each completed survey. Do you like getting paid?
Is this a viable method for earning an alternative income?
That is exactly what I intend to find out. For the next month I’ll be completing surveys for different organizations to see what is possible. How much money can be made, how much effort is required? I’ll answer these questions and many more in the coming weeks. Stay tuned to hear the results.
